Pelini: Lee is fine
Posted by: Brian Christopherson on September 21, 2009 at 12:00PM CST
Lot of rumors floating about about Zac Lee possibly being injured coming out of that Virginia Tech game. He did get banged up some. Nebraska had to use a timeout after one hit he took.

But Bo Pelini said Monday his junior quarterback is fine when asked about Lee's health and if he would be ready to go this week.

Pelini said he doesn't expect Saturday's disappointment to drag down Lee.

"I don't think it will change him at all. He's fine," Pelini said. "I think he'll be able to come back. It's just one experience for him and I think he'll be better because of it."

BAM

Whew!!!

Posted by: Triple Option on September 21, 2009 12:04PM CST
I think he will rebound and step up big against Misery.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:05PM CST
Well that's good to hear. He'll bounce back with a vengeance, he's a competitive guy and will want to get back on track this week and roll into Columbia with confidence.

Posted by: Inbread on September 21, 2009 12:06PM CST
Glad he is A OK!!! Now down to business. I want to SHUT OUT ULALA, period, and hang about half a hundred onem too. Time to come out like wild animals and tear them apart.

Posted by: HuskerBruin on September 21, 2009 12:08PM CST
So they didn't have to amputate his hand? Are you sure? Because a very reliable poster on a random message board said he heard that might be the case. You might want to ask Bo again. I'm sure he'll understand.

Posted by: Click_on_Husker on September 21, 2009 12:08PM CST
I want to see a ULALAF POUNDING!

Posted by: Inbread on September 21, 2009 12:12PM CST
Click, I think we should put a case of Advil in the visitors locker room, so they know what they are in for.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on September 21, 2009 12:14PM CST
I think Hitler commented on it in his post game meeting. (You have to have seen the video to appreciate that.) Need a big game from Zac against MU so that he doesn't go for the Henery jersey.

Posted by: NishBigRed on September 21, 2009 12:21PM CST
What I thought was funny is what Hitler had to say about Pete Carroll

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:28PM CST
Hey Pete's a good guy, he ran it up on Callaclown , because he didn't like what Calli was doing to the Husker program or that Pedi had treated Bo and the previous staff the way they had.

In his mind he was doing us a favor even if it was going to inflict some pain on us fans short term, it had to be done.

Expose the Bozos was his plan and it worked perfectly.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:29PM CST
Plus , he can't help it his donors have deep pockets and inside tracks to Hollywood fame and beach houses and fancy cars and porn stars and...

Posted by: Inbread on September 21, 2009 12:36PM CST
rluben, you have just convinced me to walk on at USC.......lol

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:36PM CST
lol

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 12:40PM CST
Rluben, you are dead on there, I can't help but like a guy who dives head first into a dogpile during practice b/c he's that jacked up. He didn't like HWSNBN or Peder were doing to DONU. Pete is a lover and respecter of football and tradition, what the above mentioned Jackasses (HWSNBN and Peder) were doing, and trying to do, he didn't respect nor love. Inbread, I think I'll change my prediction for this game, NU 72, ULL 0. Shutout, blowout, all around azz kicking, done out of pure anger at themselves for making stupid mistakes at the wrong times. 9 penalties are unacceptable

Posted by: India_Husker@USC on September 21, 2009 12:41PM CST
@inbread
.Dont do it my friend.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:41PM CST
You all do remember that Bo and Pete are friends right? You think it didn't put a smile on his face as he destroyed a Callahan coached team and embarrassed an AD that had treated his buddy like a piece of dirt and long time Husker coaches like crap.

Oh he loved it I'm betting, it wasn't anything personal against us fans, but he loved exposing the 3 Amigos big time.

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 12:44PM CST
As for downing NU, not what I'm doing, I was listening to the updates on ESPN Radio. Trevor Mattich said NU is absolutely dominating VaTech. This is coming from an ESPN Analyst. We should have won this game 52-10.

Posted by: NishBigRed on September 21, 2009 12:44PM CST
The only thingI have against Pete Carroll is all the talent he gets/waste. Heck how does he not win the NC every year? Ok, I admit it I’m jealous. I wish DOONU could get half the talent UCS gets.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:45PM CST
Ok, someone else sees it like me.

I of course have no idea about it, but that's how my mind works on that issue.

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 12:46PM CST
Rluben, you are dead on, keep on singing it, brother

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:48PM CST
I already gave you a few reasons he gets that talent.

sheesh, pay attention.

(Russ rolls his eyes)

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 12:48PM CST
This game sounded like a total slobbernocker, I probably could have heard a hit in NE AR, but I was doing a little construction

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 12:52PM CST
Well all accept a couple of plays we for the most part shut them down.

Long kick return put them in great field position to start the game.

I know VT isn't exactly a world beating offensive team, but Tyrod is a threat to make a D look silly, and we shut him and them down all night, except for.....grrrr

Posted by: Inbread on September 21, 2009 12:57PM CST
Russ, except for the first two minutes of the game and the last two minutes of the game, we really looked good enough to beat ANYONE. Its the lack of concentration all the time, that gets us in trouble. I believe we as a program, are VERY close to where we want to be.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:06PM CST
Me too, I'm hoping those senseless unforced penalties are eradicated real soon too, that was possibly a bigger killer than anything even the end of the game.

Taking us out of Field Goal position was killer, big time. Player and coaches have to get that fixed somehow.

But I saw enough to make me go dang, these guys can fricken play some ball when they want too, and the upside is huge as we go on.

Offense was an abomination, that won't happen again.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on September 21, 2009 1:08PM CST
No one is picking on Pete except for Hitler...and he's entitled. I think USC had the Germans on their schedule and bailed on the deal because they wouldn't play both games in the Coliseum and wanted a home game in Berlin.

Posted by: Inbread on September 21, 2009 1:08PM CST
yeah the penalties are very frustrating. It speaks of a lack of concentration, or lack of discipline. I doubt its discipline myself.

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 1:12PM CST
Speaking of Pete and USC, ESPN has just updated their bowl predictions. USC vs DONU in Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. They are predicting us to finish second in b12. That's a shock, I almost fell out of my chair on that one.

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 1:15PM CST
They did admit it was so loud in their they couldn't hear themselves think

Who is Hitler? I missed something evidently

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:15PM CST
lmao silicon, you funny man you.

Posted by: dbhuskers on September 21, 2009 1:16PM CST
good news on Lee. He will be fine mentally. Just one of those games you have to put behind you. Every QB has one now and then. If he has one at Misery, then we have to reevaluate the sit.

Till then. Lee is going to be fine and I trust he will bounce back nicely from this.

Posted by: Deez Nutz on September 21, 2009 1:17PM CST
The Hitler video is stupid. There are so many spoofs on it, and none are funny.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:17PM CST
You have to watch the youtube video youth of NE posted to get that one HuskerfromAR, it's pretty dang funny.

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:20PM CST
Umm I think stupid was it's intent.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on September 21, 2009 1:20PM CST
Husker from AR....this is compliments of Youth of NE from last night. A few salty words (in subtitles) but quite entertaining. First Larry the Cable Guy and now Hitler. Its amazing that you find Husker fans in all walks of life.

I can be entertained even If I don't agree with the message, but that's just me, I've literally watched paint dry before.

And yes, paint chips are tasty too.

Posted by: Inbread on September 21, 2009 1:25PM CST
rluben, only the lead ones have good flavor though.....

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:26PM CST
With the right beverage, I don't recommend eating paint chips without your beverage of choice.

Posted by: HuskerfromAR on September 21, 2009 1:28PM CST
Thanks, I didn't get that, to state the obvious, I thought it was bagging on Pelini and his tear your arms off and beat you with them mentality

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:28PM CST
Lead chips are the best.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on September 21, 2009 1:29PM CST
Rluben...stop licking those toys from China just for the lead paint. If they put lead in the paint they sent us, who knows what's in the lead that they send.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on September 21, 2009 1:31PM CST
I was afraid some might take it that way by accident...I'm behind Bo 100%. I may have to buy an Alex Henery jersey though. (j/k)

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 1:41PM CST
Tiny Chinese gov't secret agents caled 'chinanoagents' to spy on our technology in the bathroom to see how we get rid of our human waste is what they put in the lead they send us.

And to also spy on how to circumvent a constitution while the people stare blanky ahead and go ok, if you say so, daherrrrr...if it's for our own good to have our rights slowly taken away, why then by all mean take them.

They need this info, because they want to enslave their people even more by giving them a bill of rights and a constitution, but they can't do it until they know how to take it away while the people go yuk yuk, you're so amazing for protecting us from ourselves, us stupid silly folks.

Zac Lee kind of choked a little in the game, especially after halftime. im thinking interceptions, and turnovers were the topic of the halftime discussion. it looked as if Zac was giving the VT secondary a little too much credit. and im sure he had many diciplines going thru his head from dad and wat's as he walked thru the valley of death, his accuracy is insane i watched him place perfect passes where nobody but his recievers could catch them, unfortunately they were a smidge to high, short, or long for the good guys as well. Zac's pocket presence was outstanding and his reads were ahead of his time. VT's 'D' coaxed him into some bad calls but Zac rarely fell for it twice. The offense gained a wealth of knowledge and TONS of confidence. now that Zac knows how good he is. the big 12 better look out!

Carefull please Russ, you will offend the wrestler.

Nice day to be a duck

Posted by: rluben on September 21, 2009 2:33PM CST
Wrestler knows my humor, and he knows I am not making fun of the Chinese people.

Not worried about him taking it wrong.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on September 21, 2009 2:55PM CST
I think Wrestler is one of their agents..... they lured him in with a gorgeous woman...works every time
