Awesome, another televised game! I hope DUNU can show the nation that we are not giving up and that we are indeed on the rise.

Stand up and SHOUT!

Posted by: BrianFi on November 15, 2009 5:35PM CST
Great exposure for potential recruits. And all that comes with a night game at Memorial Stadium. Don't usually give props to ESPN for many reasons. Timing couldn't be better though. Big game atmosphere at the mecca doesn't get much better than this. That is until we visit Texas in the Big 12 championship game. Go Huskers

Posted by: Albino on November 15, 2009 6:40PM CST
Yesterday was the offense's turn to stand up. Saturday it's the defense's turn again.

Go Big Red!

Posted by: HuskerInCO on November 15, 2009 7:12PM CST
I will be there cheering my butt off!!!!

...and I have to say that this week if I hear any of the "we just gotta take this as any other game" crap, I know that's just a bunch of BS. This next game IS OUR TICKET to the Big 12 Championship Game so I hope that there is a LOT of extra motivation this week and execution that leads up to a butt-kicking of the kittycats.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 7:33PM CST
Thank God it's a night game. Day games have been tough at home lately. ScatCats will be looking to bounce back from the whooping zou gave them, but as Suh likes to say just kick the dog when he's down. I wanted them to win and come into our house with a little swagger. Too bad. They won't be getting up on our turf, not on senior day in our house. We send the boys out with style. Going to be rocking and rolling like the OU game. Awesome! GBR.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 7:44PM CST
Another great game to watch.

I don't believe that we have faced a coach like Snyder yet. He will have his team ready to jump off of a cliff for each other.

Posted by: Tadow on November 15, 2009 7:47PM CST
What the hell are you talking about Jumpin Joe? Show the nation we are not giving up?!?!?!?

Seriously....I don't get it...we are not playing for pride here...we are playing for a conference title.

Posted by: Tadow on November 15, 2009 7:49PM CST
I would say, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that Stoops is ten times the coach Snyder is. Snyder is ok...a reasonably good coach. Stoops is a First Ballot Hall of Fame Coach.

Snyder has led his teams to one conference title....ever...

Posted by: Exiled_in_VT on November 15, 2009 8:24PM CST
Snyder has as many conference titles as Mack Brown...

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 8:26PM CST
Dittos Tadow. Stoops proved that with the whipping OU laid on A&M after being frustrated in Lincoln. Snyder's boys laid down after the Sunflower bowl. Now we see what Husker coaches saw in Gabbert. Some pretty passes in that game.

No doubt Snyder will have his team ready. Will it be enough? Gregory is not as experienced as Reesing and the rush game barely produced 125 yards against an average MU defense. Look for the Blackshirts to have a bounce back statement game.

Posted by: RedDog77 on November 15, 2009 8:28PM CST
I just went and read Snyders' bio. If thats not first ballot material, I don't know what is.What he did with that program was unprecedented.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 8:32PM CST
Mack Brown has his tenth consecutive ten win season.

Posted by: Exiled_in_VT on November 15, 2009 8:36PM CST
Mack Brown and Bill Snyder both schedule Cupcake State and Creampuff Tech in their yearly schedules, so of course they pile up the wins.

Mack Brown = 1 conference title
Bill Snyder = 1 conference title
Bob Stoops = 6 conference titles, including the last 3 straight

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 8:36PM CST
Tadow,

I am not talking about win/loss records. It's KSU, if they win 7 a year he has outperformed all of the coaches from the big schools that get all of the talent.

KSU was arguably the worst football school that ever existed when Snyder originally got there. I know of no other coach that has accomplished so much while working with so little. I don't know that there is another coach that gets more from his players than Snyder does.

Everyone thought that KSU was done after last year. Now they are 1 win away from claiming the North.

As I said, he will have his team ready to jump off of a cliff for each other.

There is no way that they should be able to come to Lincoln and even be in the game but they will. I hope that we blow them out but I am not expecting that we will.

He is one of the best motivators in the game today.

Posted by: Busiekcreek on November 15, 2009 8:37PM CST
Mack Brown had better get down on his knees each night and say thanks. Texas would not be the strutting king pins they are if they were in the SEC.

Posted by: Exiled_in_VT on November 15, 2009 8:39PM CST
Busie,

Let's hope they're not strutting around like kingpins when the clock hits 0:00 in Jerry Jones Ego Stadium on Dec. 5.
Maybe some team from the north will be dancing on the star...

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 8:42PM CST
Busiekcreek,

That is kind of a backhanded slap in the face to those in the Big 12 isn't it?

I'll assume that you are saying that other than OU there is not alot of talented teams in the Big 12 South and that the SEC has many quality programs that must play each other since they are not split.

How's that sound?

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 8:42PM CST
If Huskers win the North, Bo should be coach of the year after bring the program back to championship game form in two years. Dittos for Snyder should he prevail, although he's probably the leading candidate now anyway.

Posted by: Busiekcreek on November 15, 2009 8:43PM CST
Exiled in VT, you got a witness. You do have a witness.

If you remember the CWS in Omaha, LSU knocked the king pins on their butts. he he

Posted by: Exiled_in_VT on November 15, 2009 8:50PM CST
KSU needs this win for not just the title game, but for bowl eligibility, so no doubt they're going to come with all they have.

Posted by: Busiekcreek on November 15, 2009 8:50PM CST
Bleeding, I'm in no way knocking the Big XII, I'm saying he did not have to take on the number 1 and 2 teams in the country who both carved LSU a new one. Other than Texas, I do not believe there is anybody in the Big XII or the remainder of the SEC that match Florida and Alabama as of today. Believe me I do not like saying that. I loathe the Gumps and the Horns.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 8:57PM CST
Yeah Busiekcreek,

Not a good time to be in the SEC and not be Florida or Alabama.

Exiled,

I did not realize that if they lose they will not be bowl eligible. As you say, that will just make it that much better of a game.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:01PM CST
Busiekcreek,

My son was watching the game yesterday and turned to me and said, "Dad, what is coach Pelini's job? Every time I see him on tv he is yelling cuss words at someone."

Posted by: Exiled_in_VT on November 15, 2009 9:04PM CST
BR,

KSU has 6 wins, but 2 are against FCS opponents. You can only use 1 FCS win every other year to get to bowl eligibility. So a loss Saturday night sends the Cats home for 9 months.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:07PM CST
Well, we can expect them to show up and then some.

We should be able to handle them regardless. It could make for a very entertaining game though.

Posted by: Busiekcreek on November 15, 2009 9:13PM CST
I love Bo's fire but it worries me to see him in such a state during some parts of the game. We all want another dynasty for Big Red. Don't want to see him falling on the ground with the big MI. Hope Dr. Tom can have a settling influence on him.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 9:14PM CST
Good way to end the "Miracle in Manhattan" season. Snyder has done well with what Prince left him. Bo's done better with what BC left him.

Off the subject, but I was just surfing the Buffzone and their fans are near apoplectic after the ISU loss. I know exactly how they feel because I was that angry after our inexcuseable loss to them.

Kick the kitty. GBR!

Posted by: Old School Husker on November 15, 2009 9:15PM CST
glad to see the passion on the sideline by our coaches. watson really does care and it is obvious. if watson is evolving and listening to osborne then he should be applauded. anyone that can't see he is doing his best and trying is blind. he is not the arrogant callasham. all of us can improve and learn new things in our lives and careers. give the guy a chance and back off. i piled on the arrogant callahan. watson is evolving and moving forward. try supporting him and the other coaches. if we are the greatest fans in football then it's time to unite. no one is perfect. not me and not you. peace...out

Posted by: Old School Husker on November 15, 2009 9:17PM CST
..and yes i know you guys are talking about Bo. i wanted to put in my 2 cents about watson.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:20PM CST
Busiekcreek,

I have thought that exact same thing regarding the MI and Tom.

Passion often needs to be channeled in positive ways.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 9:23PM CST
Bleeding,

By entertaining, I hope you mean we're up by 28 and our 2/3 deep roster is laying the wood to them. GBR!

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:25PM CST
Old School Husker,

Most of us know that all of the staff are trying. Most know that with all of the injuries and other issues that Watson has a tough job. I think that he did a pretty good job with his changes that he put in. Not all of them were from T.O. either. He put some in on his own I am sure.

Honestly, that is one of the reasons that he makes the big bucks. He has to take responsibility for making things happen. He did yesterday, that is for sure, so now he gets the credit. When it's the other way around then so are the accolades.

Posted by: Gofor2 on November 15, 2009 9:25PM CST

Great point about Bo and the MI. I hereby volunteer to be his sideline cardiologist. It would be a sacrifice, but I'll do it for nothing. he he

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:28PM CST
WyHuskerFan,

That would certainly fit within the definition. I'll stick with your definition if you don't mind.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 9:34PM CST
Bleeding,

You're welcome to it. I truly hope we can put this game away quickly. The Buffs play on Thurs and will have a couple more days rest than the Big Red. We don't have an open date prior as in years past. With their season already in the tank, they'll be playing for pride. Buffs have been tough at home and beating the Huskers will make their miserable season bareable.

Posted by: Gofor2 on November 15, 2009 9:36PM CST
My only stipulation would be that I would be in a uniform, to be incognito.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:38PM CST
WyHuskerFan,

Let's just call it the Hawkins bowl right now. Because the fact of the matter is that if we go there and beat cu at home he is done. If they win then he may just get another year to prove that he is not up to the task.

BSU and the rigors of the Big 12 are farther away than realized when sitting in Idaho.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:39PM CST
Gofor2,

You had better be careful. Someone may grab you and tell you to get in there.

Posted by: Mountainman@ on November 15, 2009 9:41PM CST
Actually it's great to see Bo let off steam on the sideline. It's theraputic and it keeps media types off the unemployment rolls. For years I watched Tom Osborne on the sidelines chewing gum and internalizing his frustration. He is the one who had the heart attack. The only time I ever saw him do a lot of yelling was in that 1978 Oklahoma game where the Huskers finally beat the Sooners. The Huskers were hitting so hard that day that Oklahoma fumbled about eight times.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 9:42PM CST
If there even a rumor that Hawkins gets to stay if he beats NU, I think the Buff fans will show up in red.

Posted by: Gofor2 on November 15, 2009 9:42PM CST
Bleed and Wyo
I think we have the chemistry now to get it done. We may not dominate or we might, but they'll play every second of the game and that will be the difference.

Posted by: Gofor2 on November 15, 2009 9:46PM CST
LOL Bleeder, yeah for a geezer I'm in good shape, but one hit and I would break like china. I think I could protect block on punt?

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:47PM CST
My first thoughts about that game are this.

They get a couple extra days of rest and we dont.
They practice at 5k feet and we dont.
Their coach is in over his head and ours is not.

I don't know what any of that means but those were my thoughts.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 9:48PM CST
Gofor2

I agree we have the chemistry. I think the D will come out huge and kick the kitties. They looked weak against the zou crew. If our O plays like it did yesterday we'll put some points on them. They have Banks and Thomas as their biggest weapons. Our special teams have played lights out, but that Banks is the real deal. Can't see them running on our D and if they become one dimensional, look out!

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:49PM CST
Gofor2,

Actually I was thinking that they might grab you during a time out to take the water out.

But I like your interpretation too.

lol.

I'd be the player picking up our players when the ran out of bounds and talking some subtle smack to the opponents when they ran out of bounds. I'd be an out of bounds special team guy.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 9:55PM CST
I gotta visit you flatlanders tomorrow so I'm outta here too. Night all.

Posted by: Busiekcreek on November 15, 2009 9:55PM CST
Gofor, since we are in the flatlands, this doesn't come up often. How much does the alt. affect a team like Nebraska? I know it does, just wondered if extra conditioning helps to overcome it somewhat.

Posted by: NishBigRed on November 15, 2009 9:55PM CST
There talking about how intense Bo is.

Posted by: Mountainman@ on November 15, 2009 9:56PM CST
Be kind to Hawkins and hope CU keeps him. Who knows who CU might bring in to replace him? In any event it would not be good for the Huskers. Bring back Barnett? Hire Watson? The former Iowa State coach? The DC at Texas? As it stands right now we can get top players out of Colorado. A new coach could change all of that.

Posted by: Gofor2 on November 15, 2009 9:57PM CST
Additional duties:
Waving a towel to get the crowd fired up and catching Eckler.

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 9:59PM CST
Gofor2,

That is hillarious. Maybe when you are not available Larry the cable guy could take your spot.

That would be riot.

I can see it now...

The tv cameras follow the rb out of bounds. The microphones pick up some sort of banter followed by, "now get your skinny butt back to your side of the field and cause were about ready to getr done."

Hello,

GBR in Texas.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 10:01PM CST
Mountainman,

The economy is what will keep Hawkins in Boulder for another couple of years. If it turns around and is looking strong a couple of well healed alumni will buy him out and send him and his cub down the road.

Busiecreek,

Folsom field is at 5300' (2K lower than my house) but its more hype than reality. Athletes are well conditioned and football is not all go all the time. You see it affect basketball players more often. Remember how the Nuggets ran the Hornets to death.

Posted by: GBR in Texas on November 15, 2009 10:02PM CST
If they do fire Hawkins they won't get much with the salary they're paying Hawkins. Just over $1M. Only Briles @ Baylor is lower in the Big XII.

Posted by: RED KOOL-AID DRINKER on November 15, 2009 10:04PM CST
There is absolutely nothing wrong with BOs sideline demeanor. He has a job to do,and when he see's a lineman screweing up,he goes to the line coach and lets him have it..in turn that coach will or shgould take action.Tell your son that coach is doing what he is paid to do..because if he doesnt, some mean ole fan will write on here that he should be fired.and I have not heard one cuss word on tv comming from BO's mouth,,I have seen passion,I have seen him get upset, but as far as any cuss words you and yours must have remarkable ears, kinda like the guy who yells from the stands thinking a coach or a ref can hear them. Pellini's job is to win games, but if you ask any of the coaches or players.Iam sure they will tell you that they would run through a brick wall for BO,When anything he says or does becomes a problem,Tom will [I am sure] will let him know and they will discuss it.so till that happens and even after ,I will support all of them and the team,so ,if my granddaughter or any of my kids were to ask me that question,I would simply say ,,;His job is to win games and sometimes that pressure comes out,its never nice to say bad things, but it happens and I am sure that he regrets saying thing, but ..it is his job and he is trying his best..because if he doesnt, there are people and fans who will call for him to be fired ,and call his family and say bad things to him and his family that are not very nice..thats what I would say,but ,you have to explain it your qwn way .......just my opinion

At the higher altitude the players have a higher red blood count, like blood doping, but natural. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to get your rbcs at a higher level from altitude. So there is an advantage from being able to have a higher oxygen consumption.

Posted by: GBR in Texas on November 15, 2009 10:05PM CST
Howdy BR, or is it BR549?

Posted by: Mountainman@ on November 15, 2009 10:06PM CST
The altitude is a real problem if you do not sub a lot. CU is 5200 feet. Where it may be a bigger problem if the Huskers play at Wyoming where it is 7200 feet. Texas had a struggle there earlier this year and only survived because they were so deep in manpower. Are the Huskers scheduled to play there in the future?

VinceFo, I could care less if he cusses like a norwegian sailor. I just happen to really like Bo Pelini from the LSU and the Nebraska factors. Hope he lives a long and healthy life but those sideline antics don't do the heart any good. I think you might have misunderstood my intent. Nobody is knocking Coach Pelini

Gofor2,
you might be taking your life into your own hands trying to catch Eckler. That guys insane!

Posted by: BleedingRed on November 15, 2009 10:14PM CST
VincentFo,

If you go back and read my comment you may notice that I did not say that he heard anything. The reference was of a visual nature that was interpreted by him as being cuss words. I am not a lip reader, nor is my son, however I am certain that he was correct in his interpretation.

Regardless of all that I don't have a problem with his demeanor myself.

I guess that if that type of behaviour continues that I will just have to do the right thing as a parent and not allow my kids to watch the games.

I don't want that type of behaviour in any way to be a reflection of my values for them. Since I am a pretty big fan they would hardly see it in any other light.

WyHusker:
Did you see that article about the coaches salaries. It listed every coach in the country except for a few private schools. There are a lot of good coaches making far less than one mil. Probably the worst scenario for the Huskers would be for CU to bring in the coach from Air Force. Running a triple option at high altitude is brutal for visiting teams. The coach at Utah has told me that and said so publicly many times. TCU is one of the best teams in the country, but they barely survived 20-17 against AFA recently. So let's hope CU stays with Hawkins.

Posted by: NishBigRed on November 15, 2009 10:22PM CST
Even the annoucers thought Ecklers was going to head put one of the kids comming off the field.

Don't know if you guys say it there was article where Bo and Carl where saying they would have to cut back practice some. They thought the Ds looked ragged yesterday.

We were down in your neck of the woods last week.

Bo has been passionate on the sideline, as he better be, and he has had things to say to other coaches when issues arise but that's the way it's supposed to be. It's called accountability. If you're coaching a kid and he makes a mental error then you haven't done your job, the kid is not totally prepared. That is the mindset of coaches. They do take those mistakes personally, as they should, and they are expected to get it corrected. My personal belief is that kids should not be cussed at, but the college setting is a little different than the high school setting. With my limited lip reading abilities I can say that I haven't seen it. Have I seen Bo get fired up...yep and I'm sure I'll see it again, or at least I hope I do. He can't change who he is. If he does he probably loses his effectiveness and the results will change. Bo needs to be Bo, so if that means he has to get after people then he needs to get after people.

CU ran a version of the triple option when McCartney was around. I can't remember if Chuck Fairbanks did or not. But you're right about AFA. They've been successful with it for years.

MountainMan, to tell you the honest truth I don't even know the schools in the WAC. Mostly keep up with Big XII and SEC. LSU has the talent to beat anybody in the country on a given day. They just reload every year. We've had "new qb" problems now for 2 seasons. The reg. qb was out Sat. nite with a sprained ankle. No one seems to know what is going on this year. They were rated much too high at the start of the season. Our defense has never been the same since Bo left. Lotta people down this way still shaking their heads in wonder.

One of the craziest endings to an NFL game that I have ever witnessed with the Pats & Colts.

GBR Tx,

Out of state tuition is lower than most state's in state tuition. College is a land grant university and the state is flush. Education is very inexpensive here.

What part of Tx are you in?

Nite all. Good husker weekend coming next Saturday.

Actually one of my bosses played for the Pokes WyHuskerFan,
I watch the Pokes play in the Vegas bowl couple of years ago. There was few Wyoming fans there. It was frikin cold. I think you played AF or the Ducks. I don't remember.

GO BIG COLTS!!

WyHusker:

There is a big article in Sports Illustrated on how Paul Johnson is killing the ACC with his triple option at Georgia Tech. Tom Osborne is quoted several times about why more teams do not run it. Also a picture of Navy sticking it to Notre Dame. Anybody remember the great quotes from the Nebraska Chancellor explaining why the triple option was obsolete and we needed the trendy west coast offense for the 21st Century?

SVH, it really does look suspicious doesn't it. That whole sequence made no sense at all.

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 10:42PM CST
Busie,

Forget the WAC. All they have is Boise State. The Mountain West will be the BCS busters again with TCU. MW will likely send 4 teams to bowl games. Utah spanked that power house SEC team Alabama last year. Could have taken Florida.

Nite PT.

GBR,

Did you ever see Burkehead play in Plano? My folks like to winter in Marble Falls. Good fishing my dad says.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on November 15, 2009 10:44PM CST
Totally incomprehensible. You couldn't have planted more seeds for conspiracy theorists if you tried.

Posted by: JasonMason on November 15, 2009 10:45PM CST
great to see CODY GLENN blowing up people on special teams!

Posted by: NishBigRed on November 15, 2009 10:46PM CST
Your not saying the Pats gave the Colts the game?
Sweat shirt Bill hates to lose.

Posted by: Busiekcreek on November 15, 2009 10:47PM CST
I'm just waiting to see what happens come bowl time. My good Gump next door neighbor who is in the Navy now still hasn't recovered from the Utes. Now I don't agree about Florida. Parity is quickly blurring the line between the haves and have not and I love it. After the bowl games, we'll argue all winter about the BCS and playoff systems. Would love to see Wyoming. Have never been there

Posted by: Silicon Valley Husker on November 15, 2009 10:49PM CST
It was as if Bill sent a message over and said, "We're going to go for this and give it to you. We'll let you run down the clock so you can score with just a few seconds left. Is that okay with you?"

Posted by: WyHuskerFan on November 15, 2009 10:49PM CST
Busie,

It's miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles.

Posted by: GBR in Texas on November 15, 2009 10:50PM CST
SVH, you got that right.

Wy, Nice area down there at Marble Falls, near Austin. I saw Burkhead and Robinson play in 3 playoff games last year at Texas Stadium. Burkhead is as solid as they come. Robinson was used more as a blocking back and caught balls out of the backfield which is why I say that those two will end up in the backfield together at some point.

Thats old schoo. It' where men are men and sheep push back.

Busie, you can't get no mud bugs in God Country!

Busie:

You can call them Busie State if you like. They play on a blue field in blue unforms, so that their offense is invisible to opposing defenses. They have lost only two home games this century. They beat the snot out of Oregon, the team that probably will go to the Rose Bowl. Some other teams in the WAC are Fresno State and Nevada, the top rushing team in the country, and LTech.

The Boise State-Nevada game will be on national TV so be sure to watch it. In 2007, on the blue turf the final score was 69-67. The Nevada QB is the best in the country, far better than the one from Florida, but without all the hype and PR.

Posted by: GBR in Texas on November 15, 2009 11:00PM CST
Well, I've got school tomorrow and I've got to drive a basketball bus tomorrow night, so I had better get to bed. Maybe later tomorrow night we can try this again. Night all.

I should no where that kid is from (Nevada). He's a stud.

Great God almighty Mountain Man, I'm gonna watch that one. Love burners and passers. I've watched Boisie and rooted for them. My first summer of college was at La. Tech 20 miles north of my home town.

I saw Boisie beat Ore. this year. Now I've got to hit the hay. Nite

Where have all the bloggers and blogs gone? Dang, I reckon I'm going to have to actually work this morning.

Surely with the recent posts, we can once again resurect the Crouch/Newcomb controversy and argue that to death since we've kinda beat the Lee/Green thing into the ground. LOL.

For me, if we can win with the general, then he's my man. Gives young Cody another year to learn and grow. I can't wait to see what the future holds for all those underclassmen we are bringing along.

I'm likin' the Pelini era already, and it's only almost 2.

HUSKER POWER!

Any chance that LIFE IN THE RED could become realtime. That would make this place a total blast.

Country Husker, We had a "Nice discussion" on Lee/Green last night with 1 blogger. Kept it civil for the most part though.

IMO Green is definitley the future unless Lee has a transformation over the winter. But Lee is now.

Posted by: fleaflicker on November 16, 2009 10:02AM CST
Yea, PT, I get a little frustrated when so called fans come on and put Cody above the team.....not giving our coaching staff any credit at all on what they're doing. I'm sorry but when someone says that Lee sucks and that he wants Barney fired.....I just can't keep quiet. Who knows what next year brings......change is inevitable. Some of our coaches may take other jobs and whatever changes Coach Pelini makes will be for the betterment of the Huskers. As a fan I am very thankful that we have the coaches that we have and it is easy to see the old time Husker traditions gradually being restored. I am very proud of our team and coaches. I don't always agree with them but I trust them. Afterall I'm not at the practices or in the team meetings.....so really us fans don't know s*** about what actually is going on.

But right now all I want is a win against the Mildcats and then on to Boulder to finish this thing off.

GBR!!

Morning Fellas & Ladies that might be lurking

Yo Fleaflicker, I stuck for ya with your buddy Step after you left. He took exception to your posted, regarding him. He thought youl waited for him to leave so you could call him a idiot. In so many words I told him I believe in calling a spade a spade.

I never will understad why some get some wound up.

Posted by: Country Husker on November 16, 2009 10:53AM CST
Speaking of wound up, I was pretty stoked when we scored that second 4th quarter touchdown saturday.

Reminded me of old school Nebraska football when awesome defense kept the score close and we just ground down the opponent so we could run over them in the 4th quarter.

These coaches fit Nebraska football well, and I think those who maybe didn't fit so well are learning some new things about what it takes to win consistently in the Big 12. Glad to hear that they listen when Tom speaks, which I am guessing isn't all that often.

I knew I liked Pelini back about 2 years ago when he said something like "You'd be an idiot not to want to work for Tom Osborn." ...and I'd like to add my own, you'd be an idiot not to listen to him when he makes a suggestion.

That tripple option pass, I love that play. I'm still waiting for when we can line up Khiry Cooper in the slot, hand him the ball on a reverse, and he chucks it down-field to Cody Green. (ala Stuntz/Crouch). I loved that one, too.

I gotta think ol' Khiry has an arm, he's a center fielder and any decent football player that doesn't embarass himself on the baseball field is ok in my book.

The H"DOG" looking forward to KSucks arrival & the arrival of the BIG RED LEGIONS to Folsom Prison! Should be a fun Thanksgiving weekend! Many Bluff "fans" turned out in "baby blue" (Chuck Fairbanks era colors -early 80's) for TxASS M & M game (35-34 Bluff W)! Back handed support! Of course this now becomes their BOWL GAME & might save the "Hawksters" job! PS - Can ANYBODY believe USuckC is still ranked! Complete BS!
