This team on paper is very athletic. Probably the most athletic in Cook's tenure. Going to the 6-2 and with two outstanding setters in Cook and Anderson, should give a big boost on both sides. Hopefully they will mesh and I think they will. They had a successful trip to China, which I think bodes well for the season.

The Husker women will rule the court! A devastating quick middle and right side attack along with Tara the Gazelle on the outside.

Imagine trying to hit past 6' 4" Brooke Delano in the middle and 6' 5" Lindsey Licht on the right side doubling up on you. Awesome talent and size.

NU will also be sporting the best libero in college vb in Banworth.

If you look at the roster, this is a pretty young group, only 4 seniors, so the future looks bright as well.

GO BIG RED VOLLEYBALL!

Let the vballs fly. This group could go all the way this year.

hmmm, B10 next year will be interesting. Thats 4 of the top ten, and 3 of the top 5 in one conference. looks to be pretty darn good indeed.....

The number 2 rating is nice, but they will be number 1 at the end. This team is loaded for bear. Broekhuis and Cook will make a huge differance. The only question mark, in my opinion, is at OH. Mueller has to regain her sophmore form, and Werth needs to step it up a little more and be more consistent. If that happens, watch out Texas and anyone else.

atihusker. Must be a typo, replace setters with RSs.

For the past couple of years, it has been the story of Penn State and a bunch of little sister pretenders. And like the past couple of years there are maybe 7 or 8 teams with good, relatively equal chances of making the final 4. Until the season begins and we start seeing who is playing how well, my pre-season prediction is that I would not be surprised to see NU play in the final game, and I would also not be surprised if NU doesn't make the Final 4. Penn State is still the boss until someone takes them down.

The ranking seems about right, and the talent is definity onboard. Regional sites won't be easy - Penn State, Washington, Texas and Dayton - our site depending on seeding in Dec. As talented and physically imposing as this bunch is, I hope they improve as much throughout the season as the 09 team. Then, they could be a lot better than the other three in the FF. They need the "killer" instinct like the 06 team had.

The season is so close! Can't wait to check out the team on Saturday night. On paper, they definitely have the necessary talent to make this a special year.
